BOINC is a free app by UC Berkeley that runs scientific computing tasks invisibly in the background using your idle CPU/GPU. It's safe, lightweight, and you won't even notice it.
Einstein@home uses your computer to search radio telescope data for pulsars, gravitational waves, and continuous signals from neutron stars. It's one of the most active SETI-adjacent projects in the world.
Open BOINC Manager → click Add Project → select Einstein@home from the list → sign in with your new account. BOINC will start downloading work units automatically.
